MOLD

Failure to ventilate and dehumidify the structure in an expedient manor can result in extensive mold growth. Even after the structure has been dried, additional anti-microbial measures should be taken to avoid growth in the future. DRY ROT/ STRUCTURAL DAMAGE

The area needs to be dried in a timely manner to avoid wood rot. Wood is not the only building material subject to damage when exposed to water. For example, laminate, and other materials can separate from the surface with long tern water exposure.
